The Wall Street Journal Online website has a really interesting article entitled "Moguls of New Media," which talks about a number of the important new players in the online world, including the founders of BoingBoing, and many others. In addition to the story, there's a chart near the bottom of the page which lists a few movers and shakers in each category (such as podcasting, blogs, etc.). A very handy place to see all of these people at once...
Excerpt: "While online stardom can sometimes be fleeting, and some measures of audience size are subject to debate, a look at the rising stars in this world shows how the path to entertainment success is being redefined. Traditional media companies and marketers are already in pursuit of some of these new faces."
