STALKED is an ice cold winter book, but you can tell that Minnesotans are getting to the point where they'd rather read about winter than live through much more of it this year. Everyone is wondering when spring will arrive.
There was no sign of it last night. We had a book signing at J. O'Donoghue Books in Anoka -- about a forty-five minute drive from our home that took us an hour and a half through the snow. A few hearty folks joined us -- it takes a lot to keep Minnesotans inside even in terrible weather, and it gives us something to complain about! The ride home was even worse, with freezing drizzle and fog.
Tomorrow we're off to Atlanta, which does sound pretty nice about now. We're looking forward to visiting the Borders in Snellville, where the manager, Paul, has been a master at hand-selling my books to his customers. From there, we have a couple days to take a break in Savannah.
More and more readers are writing to me now that they've finished STALKED -- and loved it. My goal is always to have a reader say with each book, "That was his best one yet!" I know, of course, that the more books I write, the more readers will have their personal favorites. But it's gratifying to know that STALKED has been so well received.

I just returned from meeting you and your lovely wife at the Borders in Snellville. Both of you were wonderful to chat with. The turnout may have been small, but believe me, your appearance was well-appreciated.
By the way, you certainly lucked out with the weather here... sunny and 70 degrees!
