We're starting to see overseas editions of book two arriving in bookstores. The German and Spanish editions have been out for several months, and the Dutch edition (DE STRIPPER) arrived last month. The most recent copy to hit shelves is the Italian edition, under the title LAS VEGAS BABY.
I alerted my Italian readers on Friday that the new book is available over there and got an e-mail back from one with the pithy message: "OH YYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!
TOMORROW I'LL BUY IT!" We like enthusiastic readers...!
I'll also be sending out press releases to a variety of Italian newspapers. I did that with Dutch papers for DE STRIPPER and just found out that we got a very nice review over the weekend in De Volkskrant, one of the largest papers in the Netherlands. Did my press release help? Don't know, but it sure can't hurt.
One reader asked if it feels like a full-time job doing marketing and PR in the various countries in which my books are published. Yes, it does feel that way sometimes, but that's my background, so I enjoy the PR side of the business. Of course, now it's back to writing book four!
